Comprendre les interactions entre environnement et processus démographiques des populations de ravageurs est essentiel pour améliorer les stratégies de gestion intégrée (IPM), et nécessite une caractérisation simultanée de la variation spatio-temporelle de l’environnement et de l’abondance et dispersion du ravageur. Estimer la dispersion des insectes via les méthodes démographiques directes est souvent impossible et l’alternative repose sur les approches de génétique du paysage.

Dans ce cadre, cette thèse vise donc à développer une approche de génétique du paysage sur un ravageur majeur des cultures fruitières, la mouche orientale des fruits Bactrocera dorsalis. L’objectif est, à l’échelle des bassins de production, de déterminer les variations spatio-temporelles de la structure démo-génétique des populations et d’inférer les mouvements entre plantes hôtes, afin : i) d’identifier les sources de recolonisation et de définir les échelles pertinentes pour les IPM, ii) de préconiser une lutte localisée sur les zones refuges, iii) d’améliorer les modèles prédictifs des infestations pour mieux évaluer l’impact des actions de contrôle.
