Dans le cadre de sa thèse, Camille développe des modèles à base d'agents sur la plateforme Netlogo visant à explorer l'évolution du polyphénisme de phase chez les locustes. La première partie de son travail consiste à explorer l'influence de la distribution spatio-temporelle de la ressource végétale sur l'émergence du polyphénisme de phase. Elle étudiera par la suite d'autres hypothèses évolutives.
La seconde partie comprend l'expérimentation de l'olfactométrie pour étudier les réponses comportementales des larves face à leurs fèces (comportements attractifs ou répulsifs), selon le stade de dégradation de celles-ci. Le but est de voir si les fèces pourraient avoir un rôle à jouer dans l'orientation des bandes larvaires.
